lm 4 weeks post op VSG..I will be a pen pal

I am always looking for support one way or another it helps me thru these hard times I am 4 weeks out from VSG and I am a food addict as they say I have no energy still and just joined the gym I hope to GOD I use it this time...I cant go thru this over and over so now that I had VSG I feel like this is the beg of the end so that is great..however I dont feel any dif except that I cant pig out anymore (which is a good thing I know) I have lost a total of 33 lbs so far (Yay me) So I went from a compulsive overeater to a compulsive computer geek...OK I can deal with that..LOL

Hey Lisa, thank you for your reply...See now this is what I needed to know. I was thinking on those terms, see the only thing I am worried about is how fast does the weight come off and will there be any skin hanging off of me? I can't afford to have( CMS)to have it cut off. Oh I am so confussed as to the skin situation, ok does it fall off fast or will I have the time to work it off?  Thank yu so much again, I needed to know this. Ok now you have made my thinking "More Intense", lol.   Ok I will be keeping intouch with you if you don't mind. You said that you are in Pre-op, and you are loseing ? Actually I am 4 weeks post op VSG and am very happy I lost 33 lbs so far since the 2 week pre op diet so it is pretty fast they say the average is 100 lbs in 6 months (scary) and I have been worried (daily) about the extra skin and I think I am getting over the fact that it is a given that we will have that...ewwwwwww I know.  I cant affored any more surgeries either I paid cash for the VSG
SO I feel ya.  I hope you make all the right decisions
This is the best decision I made to get myself healthy so I am gonna have to take the bad with the good I guess....

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, if only you and Rose know how much this means to me. Thank you 1000, times. Ok, now I feel more excited to do this, but I have to look into the Realize Band.   I will be in  touch  with both Lisa and Rose   my newly found FRIENDS......

Elite52, I thought you were Rose....oops..well let me know what you find out about the Realize band I never did much homework on it after I decided to go VSG...are you set on the Lap Band?

If you lose the weight slowly and exercise it can minimize the amount of loose skin, however, It will not guarantee that you don't have some. Let's face it, I would rather have loose skin than be overweight...at least it doesn't affect my overall health.

For Elite, I know with the Realize band you loose slower than with the other surgeries b/c you and your doctor control how fast it comes off!  My husband had the realize band 4 months ago and is down 70lbs!  He weighed 400lbs to begin with! 

As for me, I decided to go with the VSG.  I want the weight to come off!  I don't want lots of sagging skin but if I have it, I have it!  I can only worry about one problem at a time....and right now it is all this FAT!  LOL, I know some people that have lost lots and have minimal skin and others that have a lot!  Just depends on your body!

Tomorrow is my last test before getting my surgery date!  I am a bit nervous b/c it is the Psycho exam....think he might say I'm crazy, ????  LOL  Probably so, why else would I be this way!  leesaleesa I would love to be a friend! 

Hey girl If I can pass the "Psycho" exam anyone can I am bi-polar and he called my bluff dangit but I still got clearance I sorta just tried telling I have had depression for over 20 years and have been on meds since then doing great (LOL) and then he wanted to call my COO COO doctor and they had to collaborate and I still passed   Woo Hoo  So you will be fine (I hope unless you are pzychophrenic) that is the only reason they wouldnt accept it...or anyhting worse than that i am sure
